ok this is how "ao" started about. my buddy and i used to play some game called ragnarok online. there were these Portuguese players in that game that used to as "oi" which meant hello. so my friend started to say "ao" for an american way to say hi to them instead. we still say that to each other when we meet anywhere. i had gotten into a habit of saying "ao" and i kept saying it inside the chatbox. des asked me what it meant so i explained it to him that i just means hello/hi/hey. now des has been hooked on saying it while i have kind of stopped.
